Green Day

Green Ghana Day, 11th June 2021. Initiative by the forestry commission to plant 5 million trees on this day for the next generation. Minister of lands and natural disasters. Schools, colleges, institutions, children and adults. Greening the land and homes, preserving wildlife, medicinal benefits.

Plastic Punch an NGO facilitated the proving of seedlings from the Forestry Commission. I collected tree, plant and fruit seedlings: Orange, Coconut, Cashew, Eucalyptus, Acacia, Cassia.
Plastic Punch raise environmental awareness on the dangers of plastics for the environment, humans and marine life as well as finding sustainable waste management solutions.

I have known ben for 10 years when I first started doing tours to Ghana, he and some of his friends would gather round the compound to sell coconuts to the guests. This was an occasion that commenced every year after that. They would climb coconut trees and guests take pictures.
So in fairness I was rightful for me to dedicated the coconut tree to Ben. Know he can have his own coconut tree to sit under and enjoy the fruits of his labour. Looking forward to watching the tree grow, just like Ben.

With the rest of the seedlings I will plant at my grandfathers house. Letโ€™s keep this initiative going, not just in Ghana but in other African countries. We need mother nature and mother nature needs us to plant and grow, protect and preserve.

bless Sister E (Naa Dzamah)
