The Coptic Ankh or Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for life or: breath of life living – eternal life – key of life – key of the Nile. Other meanings based on the shape have been symbolised to represent fertility, spiritual and the original cross.

The Egyptians believed in mortal existence and life after death – that energy of life emanated from the Ankh. Egyptian gods, pharaohs, kings are carved on tombs or pictures carrying the loop at the fingertips or with an Ankh in each hand representing immortality – offering the gift of life.

Ankh are sold worldwide and commonly showcased as accessories, carvings, on bags, household goods.
A few people saw a picture of me wearing a wooded Ankh and asked me what it represented. They actually requested one. I do feel a sense of energy when I wear it as a positive charm.
